Power Suit

We’ve got summer on our minds, and power suits are the perfect way to bring your suit to warmer weather. Suiting has been one of the most popular trends over the past season, there's no need to pack up those separates for the next three months you just have to shift your approach.

With so many stylish, inspired short suits on the market, it's easy to make the look work for the humidity that is upon us. And whether you go the new or vintage route or the lighter-weight blazers you already have and find shorts or skirts that match, you'll feel sophisticated and weather-appropriate with practically no effort.

The summertime quick fix lies in the shorts suit, that lets us keep our office dress code permitting, without overheating. Worn together, the shorts suit has all the makings of a regular power suit, but with a reduced hem for maximum ventilation. To keep your co-ord from looking too formal, pair a matching blazer and tailored shorts with a simple tee and throw on some Vans or white sneakers. Even a Bermuda length (think: cut right above the knee but fitted through the thigh) will make any suit look way more casual chic.

The beauty of suiting is that you have had key elements of separates to create several different looks: toss the blazer over a silky cami and a midi skirt. Replace full-length pants with cropped pants or wide-leg culottes and a flirty blouse. What the suit loses in length, it gains in style! Over the past few seasons, the cropped straight-leg pant has become a new essential. Still on trend today, it pairs well with any type of jacket.

If you thought suits were done-for, think again! You now have a heads up about what our new summer uniform will be.

Sincerely,

Sashé
