Living Coral

It's official, Pantone's color of the year 2019 is Living Coral. Coral is an energetic combination of orange and pink with a golden undertone. It offers us everything from warmth to nourishment.

Coral is the perfect hue to brighten up every ensemble. Of all of the spring/summer 2019 color trends, this one might be the most seasonally appropriate. It is a color that brings to mind fruity drinks, pretty flowers, and tropical vacations. There are endless possibilities when it comes to bringing this color palette to life, below are some of our favorites.

Anyone can wear coral:

The great thing about coral is that it’s flattering for all skin tones. While the color of the year may be a particular shade of “living coral,” of course you can choose a different mix of pink and orange, which is either bright or muted to suit your own skin tone and personality. Coral comes in so many varying shades, so have fun with this color! The shades are called many different names… melon, guava, desert rose, clay and bright orange to name a few. It also goes well with several other colors that it’s practically a neutral, pair it with white, teals or brighter shades of pink for summer.

Coral is versatile:

Coral can be worn in a bold or subtle way! For a more casual slay, a white tee with a pleated coral skirt and pastel-colored sandals for a cute weekend look. Or you can go with a good old faithful combo, a coral blouse paired with distressed white skinnies. However, if you want to go big and bold flowing coral dresses and pantsuits are trendy this season. Also teaming coral with different patterns and prints, like florals, stripes, leopard prints, if you really want to make a statement.

Coral accessories abound:

What we love about coral color is that it’s chic, warm, eye-catching and fresh. Definitely the perfect addition to your summer outfits. However, if you are still on the fence or afraid to wear bright colors, then coral is great as a pop of color in an accessory. One can incorporate pops coral in a handbag, a summer sandal, lipstick, and even nail polish.

Tell us below, how will you be “living in coral” this season?

Sincerely,

Sashé
